Do you like to sew and make things and are looking for ideas and instructions? You will find them here. In my spare time I like to sew and make crafts. Sometimes, I teach adult and children how to sew and make things as well. I'm not a professional seamstress or artist so my projects tend to be on the easy side, hence, the name of my sewing & craft blog is 'Sew Easy So Crafty'.

Being in a different country at the moment because I'm on holidays makes it difficult to find supplies - I'm not even sure where to find a craft store. But inspiration came when I was going through my old clothes.

I've left some clothes here at my in-laws because every so often we would have our holiday here. Some of the clothes have been worn out or were too small for me. I was riffling through the luggage of old clothes when I saw my old petticoat. There was a bit of lace at the bottom...

Start a Visual Diary for Your Craft Ideas

Whenever I had an idea for a craft, I would quickly sketch it on a scrap piece of paper. What I ended up with is a huge pile of loose papers that I would shoved into craft magazines.

The problem with this is that I'd have pieces of paper everywhere so when I wanted to find a particular design I'd have to search in all the different magazines. Then, of course, there's also the problem of the papers falling out of the magazines. It was very disorganised!

Have you ever run out of ideas for what to make next? You’ve sewn so many bags that it gets kind of boring and they don’t look unique any more. Or you’ve knitted so many beanies and you’re looking for a fresh take on it. I know I have.

Sometimes you just want to find someone else’s instructions and follow their exact directions to make a new craft. But at other times, you want to take an idea that you spot and improve upon it until you make it your own.

What are some of the places that you look for to get new ideas? Below are some of the places that I’d go to find new ideas for crafts.
